My art tries to capture the gesture, movement and essence of the being I am creating. The sculptures are psychological and deal with universal feelings such as loneliness, detachment, fear, power, and joy. I try to create a raw and primitive feeling to evoke emotion while viewing the sculpture. The art can be viewed at different levels of meaning and depends on the viewer’s perspective.
I work in various mediums. These materials create different textures which allow for different feelings or mood. Whether it is working in wax to create a bronze or wrapping fabric around an armature each sculpture is unique.
